Virtues of Programming

Virtues of Programming is a free e-book by Qasim Hussain, founder of PHPTRAVELS, for anyone deciding whether to learn programming and what to do with it. Qasim started as a freelance graphic designer in 2012, discovered coding while building his own company in 2014, and wrote down what he learned so you can skip his mistakes.

The book walks through the history of programming, how code changed the way we live and work, why you should learn it and where to start. It then gets practical: what to do after you learn, how to make money with programming, building a company and creating digital products, the main types of programming languages, the best age to start, beating the frustration every beginner feels, remembering syntax, expected salaries, finding an internship or a job, and building a long-term career.
